I have seen several pillows out there on line for cpap side sleepers but I am not sure what one to use. Do you need to have a hose cover for your tube? What is it for? Has anyone tried the side sleepers pillow is it worth it?

If you opt to buy or make your own tubing cover I strongly suggest that you make sure that it is made of a slippery material. They had a tube cover on the tubing at one of my in-lab sleep studies and it was a PITA as it was made of a material something like flannel and it just did NOT slide well over the blankets, pillow case, etc. It was more trouble than it was worth and actually woke me up or kept me awake whenever I would change positions. I would actually have to wake enough to consciously pull the tubing w/me as I changed positions. IF I didn't it dislodged my mask and caused mask leaks. Grrrr!

As far as sleep pillows I've found just a plain ole down pillow is all I need. It is soft enough that I can "punch" or "scrunch" it into any shape I need or create a hollow for my mask or just keep my face near the edge of the pillow and then "scrunch" it to form around the mask.

I bought a PAPillow but due to an old neck injury it was too thick for my needs and I went back to my trusty down pillow.

Insultated tubing covers do help eleminate the "rain out" effect we get from excess condensation in the tubing. I also like them because they protect the tubing from getting tiny holes that can compromise the accurate delivery of air we receive as our prescribed pressure setting. Tubing covers are inexpensive and helpful. If you get one, make sure it has a full length zipper - otherwise it is very hard to "feed in" 6 feet of tubing when it just has an elastic band on each end!

My favorite side and stomach sleeping pillow for cpap is PAPillow - the Double Edge size is the most popular.

Are CPAP pillows covered by insurance? And would my supplier carry it? (Apria)

Where can you buy the tubing covers?

If you cannot find one at a local home healthcare supplier, here is a link to a reputible online store:
