bad sleep pattern

hi,iam grumble after working 4-12and m1dnite to 8 for 10 years. I have retired and have weird sleep patterns.ex. go to bed at 830pm wake up at 1am,stay up for a few hours,sleep for an hour, go through this cycle repeatedly. any suggestions?

    We sleep in 110 minute cycles. If you wake up during a cycle without it being complete you will feel groggy and you wont get the benefet from the sleep. Even if you can only sleep a few hours a night you need a sleep calculator so you can wake up after cycle is complete.

    My sleep doctor told me not to take naps during the day. I have a messed up sleep pattern also. I get about 4 hours or sleep every day & sleep all weekend to catch up on my sleep. I have tried to and trying to fix this.
